Evictions, child poverty, homelessness - London borough issues stark warning over new benefit cap

The £23,000 benefit cap, to be announced by the chancellor in the emergency budget on July 8, which shows nearly 600 households in the borough would be affected, on top of of the 250 already affected by the current cap.

The council also claims up to 1,000 more Islington children are likely to be affected by the new cap while large families are at risk of eviction form their homes.
