Exploring Effective Early Intervention

The programme for the day was developed in collaboration with FAST (Families and Schools Together), an award winning, U.N endorsed early intervention programme.

The workshop provided an opportunity to:

  • Share the latest learning about the impact of early intervention programmes
  • Share best practice experience on what elements are necessary for a good early intervention programmes
  • Explore effective strategies for engaging, motivating and sustaining support from the wider community for early intervention programmes
  • Explore challenges inherent in balancing resources for early intervention programmes alongside a host of projects aimed at tackling the root causes of poverty.

The report contains a record of presentations (from 4Children, C4EO,London borough of Barking & Dagenham and FAST) made at the workshop along with key points from the group discussions.
