Z2K petition on impact of Housing Benefit changes in London

Date Posted: 05/01/2012 15:50:42

Z2K has launched a Government e-petition on some of the issues arising from the anticipated impact of the Housing Benefit reforms on Londoners. Those who attended our seminar 'Exploring Housing Benefit - Is London Ready for the Caps?' may be interested in signing on to this - simply click here.

Revd Paul Nicholson of Z2K says "In our view it is impossible to implement the UC cap in London without damaging the health and wellbeing of  individuals, parents and their children,  and therefore it should not be implemented in London.   The problem is a lack of a coherent national housing policy to deliver affordable housing of all tenures in all locations, not impoverished tenants."

Z2K intends to delivery the petition and their detailed statement to Peers and MPs on the 10th January. For further information contact Z2K.
